The Deal with Spiritual Gurus

We humans often seek answers to help and understand ourselves better. This is usually where a spiritual guru comes in to help.

Spiritual gurus are supposed to be there to help guide you on your God path to get you where you need to be. This is not always the case in reality though. Most spiritual gurus intentionally operate to make money, not to help humanity. On top of that, many of them will charge you, “an arm and a leg,” for just crumbs of spiritual information. This is not God led.

A lot of spiritual gurus will condone psychics, and they themselves practice divination (fortune telling) as well. Some examples of this are of the psychic guru telling you if a person romantically suited for you, if you should do that business deal and what will happen if you do, how you should make a decision in a certain situation; basically anything where they are telling you an outcome. It is contradictory to be claiming to be doing God’s work while also promoting something he forbids, as stated in the Old Testament (Torah):

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, a soothsayer, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or one that consulteth a ghost or familiar spirit, or a necromancer. For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto the LORD;

-Deuteronomy 18:10-12

And unfortunately, that is not the only thing a lot of these spiritual gurus do that is against God’s word. A lot of them do not operate with God’s power and energy despite claiming to do so. A lot of them partake in witchcraft to give the illusion of healing through God when they are actually casting spells. This is why God commands us to stay away from psychics.

One must do their due diligence before working with a spiritual guru. Having someone access your energy is like giving your bank account number or social security number. For those of you who are still new to spirituality and have trouble seeing the signs of a fake spiritual guru, here are some indications:

  1. The spiritual guru charges a high amount of money for their assistance.
  2. They insist an energy clearing will bring up negative energy and it will linger before it clears.
  3. You don’t feel well after listening to them speak/reading their material.
  4. You have sudden money/job/health/relationship/life issues and these problems come back to back and don’t stop.
  5. They never explain how they helped you and if they do, it doesn’t work when you do it yourself (using spiritual gifts they have allegedly shared with you).
  6. They practice fortune telling and insist they make life decisions for you.
  7. They never teach you the depth and truth of spirituality.
  8. They rehash the same spiritual information over and over to you, nothing new.
  9. You never progress spiritually.

In some instances, a spiritual guru will be permitted to charge a small fee for their assistance. This is because some gurus need an income to keep a roof over their head and also food on the table while doing God’s work. Even in this instance, they will not charge you a high price. Withholding life saving information or overcharging is the quickest way to lose God-given spiritual gifts. If a guru is charging a high amount for their services it is also a huge indicator that the “guru” is most likely not working with God with their spiritual work. This is because it doesn’t make sense for a person to connect to God, and help you, and then charge you money for something God did and not they themselves.

The connection and help from God is something we all humans knew in the past. Unfortunately it has become hidden knowledge to keep people disconnected from God. Because if we all knew the information and were fully enlightened, then we wouldn’t need spiritual gurus.

This is why it’s very important to do your due diligence if seeking out a spiritual guru. Ask them to explain and walk you through the energy clearings. Ask them how they became spiritually gifted and what do they do to keep training to become better spiritually (how they meditate, how they pray, etc).

A real spiritual guru should be available to you no matter how busy or famous they become. Meaning, you should have a way to contact them directly, not just their manager. Even if this spiritual guru is so busy and needs an assistant to help them go through messages. A spiritual guru acting like a celebrity can often directly or indirectly encourage false idol worship.

This information is here openly for those to understand the reality of spiritual gurus and be able to make an informed decision while engaging in spiritual communities.

God bless.
